The DR5DP valve is a three-way direct-acting pressure reducing valve, which has a relief function on the pressure reducing side to ensure a stable secondary pressure. It is used for circuit pressure reduction and the pressure is set by the pressure regulating element (4).
In the static position, the valve is normally open and oil can flow freely from the oil port to the oil port A. The pressure of the oil port A acts on the end face of the valve core of the compression spring (3) through the control oil passage (6) and the nozzle (7). When the pressure of the oil port A reaches the set value of the spring (3), the control valve core (2) moves to the control position and keeps the pressure of the oil port A constant. The internal control oil is taken from the oil port A. The control oil can also be supplied from the outside through the oil port X. As the pressure continues to rise, the control valve core (2) continues to move in the direction of the compression spring (3), which causes the shoulder (8) on the control valve core (2) to open, and the excess oil flows back to the oil tank to prevent the pressure from rising further. An optional non-return valve (5) allows free flow of oil from port A to port P.
