2WRCE...-L2X/P... type throttle valves are two-stage high-response valves. They control the size and direction of the flow and are mainly used in closed-loop control circuits.
Construction:
They consist of the following components:
- A single-stage servo-proportional pilot control valve, (pilot stage) with an electromagnet for electromechanical conversion, which can be connected to the integrated pilot valve controller via electrical feedback.
- A main stage for flow control.
- An inductive position sensor with its sensor stem mounted on the second-stage main valve core.
- An inductive position sensor demodulator.
Function:
The integrated closed-loop amplifier (OBE) controls the proportional solenoid of the pilot control valve by comparing the command value with the actual value and providing a current proportional to the system deviation.
The pilot control valve performs proportional position control and operates the main valve core through closed-loop control to control the flow into chamber A or out of chamber B until the system deviation is 0.
Therefore, the stroke of the main valve core is controlled in proportion to the command signal. Here, it must be noted that the flow rate is proportional to the valve pressure
