Functional description, cross-sectional view
The DRE/DREM pressure reducing valve is a pilot operated pressure reducing valve used to reduce the pressure in a system. The valve consists of a pilot valve with a proportional solenoid, a main valve with a main valve insert and an optional non-return valve.
DRE10 pressure reducing valve
The pressure at port A is set in relation to the flow rate by means of a proportional solenoid. When stationary, the proportional solenoid is de-energized and the valve is open, i.e. oil can flow freely from port B to port A via the main valve core. When the valve is operating, the pressure at port A acts on the spring-loaded side of the main valve core via the pilot valve equipped with throttles,and and on the valve core affected by the electromagnetic force. If the pressure at port A exceeds the corresponding force setting value of the proportional solenoid, the valve core overcomes the force of the proportional solenoid and opens. The signal to push the spool and the pilot oil come from port A. At this time, the oil flows to the tank through the spool in the control position and port Y. As a result, a pressure drop is generated on the main spool, which moves into the control position and keeps the pressure in port A constant. It is consistent with the set value at the proportional solenoid. If the pressure in port A increases, the main spool closes and a small amount of oil continues to flow to the tank through the hole and port Y. If necessary, a non-return valve can be installed to provide reverse free flow from the oil port to the oil port B.
DRE20 and DRE30 pressure reducing valves
In principle, the function of this valve is the same as that of the DRE10 valve. The pilot drain oil is discharged from the oil port through the control hole. In this valve, a constant flow control valve is installed in the pilot valve to allow the pilot oil to overflow. The overload protection in the oil port prevents excessive pressure at port A when flow Q=0.
DREM type pressure reducing valve
If necessary, a spring-loaded pressure relief valve can be installed as a maximum pressure protection to protect the system from high pressure caused by abnormal voltage spikes on the proportional solenoid.
