DR pressure valves are pilot operated pressure reducing valves used for secondary circuit control. They consist of a main valve (1) with a main valve insert (3) and a pilot valve (2) with a pressure regulating element.
In the static position, the valve is normally open and oil can flow freely from port B through the main valve core (3) to port A. The pressure at port A acts on the bottom side of the main valve core (3). At the same time, the pressure acts on the ball valve (6) in the pilot valve (2), through the orifice (4) to the spring-loaded side of the main valve core (3), and through port (5). The same pressure acts on the ball valve (6) through the orifice (7), the control oil circuit (8), the non-return valve (9) and the orifice (10). According to the setting of the spring (11), pressure is built up in front of the ball valve (6), in the oil port (5) and in the spring chamber (12), keeping the control piston (13) in the open position.
Oil can flow freely from port B through the main valve core (3) to port A until the pressure at port A exceeds the setting value of the spring (11) and opens the ball valve (6). The control piston (13) moves to the closed position.
When the pressure at port A reaches equilibrium with the spring setting pressure, the desired reduced pressure is achieved. The control oil is drained from the spring chamber (14) to the tank via the control oil passage (15).
By installing an optional non-return valve (16) it is possible to transfer oil from port A to port B.
Free return flow.
The pressure gauge port (17) allows monitoring of the reduced pressure at port A. The pilot valve is equipped with an X external control port to achieve remote pressure regulation.
