| The DB and DBW valves are pilot-operated pressure relief valves. They are used to limit (DB) or to limit and relieve system pressure with a solenoid (DBW). The relief valve consists essentially of a main valve (1) with a main valve insert (3) and a pilot valve (2) with a pressure regulating element. |
DB type pressure relief valve
The pressure in the oil passage A acts on the main valve core (3). At the same time, the pressure acts on the spring-loaded side of the main valve core (3) and the ball (8) of the pilot valve (2) via the control passages (6) and (7) with orifices (4) and (5). If the pressure in passage A exceeds the set value of the spring (9), the ball (8) overcomes the spring (9). For the internal control type, the control signal is supplied from the inside of passage A by the control oil (10) and (6). The oil on the spring-loaded side of the main valve core (3) flows into the spring chamber (12) via the control passage (7), the orifice (11) and the ball (8). For the external discharge type - DB..L5X..Y-type, it is introduced into the oil tank via the control passage (14). The orifices (4) and (5) produce a pressure drop on the main valve core (3), which flows from port A to port B, while the set working pressure remains unchanged. The relief valve can be unloaded or switched to different pressures (second pressure rating) by means of the external control port X (15).
DBW pressure relief valve
The basic function of the valve is the same as that of the DB type valve, except that the main valve core (3) can be unloaded by means of the action of the directional valve (16) installed thereon.
