DZ pressure valves are pilot-operated sequence valves. They are used for pressure-dependent sequential switching of secondary circuits. The sequence valve consists essentially of a main valve (1) with a main valve plug (7) and a pilot valve (2) with a pressure regulating element and an optional non-return valve (3).
The function of the valve depends on the control oil drain configuration:
Pressure valve type DZ...-.-L5X/...
(Control oil circuits 4.1, 12 and 13 are open; control oil circuits 4.2, 14 and 15 are blocked)
The pressure in the control oil circuit A acts on the pilot spool (5) in the pilot valve (2) via the control oil circuit (4.1). At the same time, it acts on the spring-loaded side of the main valve (7) via the orifice (6). When the pressure exceeds the setting value of the spring (8), the pilot spool (5) moves against the spring (8). The oil on the spring-loaded side of the main spool (7) flows into the oil port B via the orifice (9), the control shoulder (10) and the control oil circuits (11) and (12). This causes a pressure drop in the main spool (7) and it rises. This allows the oil to flow freely from A to B. The pressure set by the spring (8) remains unchanged and the opening pressure remains constant. The leakage oil of the pilot spool (5) is introduced into the oil port B from the inside via the oil circuit (13). An optional non-return valve (3) can be installed to allow free return flow from the oil port B to A.
DZ...-.-L5X/..X... type pressure valve
(Control oil lines 4.2, 12 and 13 are open; control oil lines 4.1, 14 and 15 are blocked) The function of this valve is in principle the same as that of the DZ...-.-L5X/... type. However, for DZ...-.-
For L5X/..X... type sequence valve, the pressure signal is provided externally via the control oil circuit (4.2).
DZ...-.-L5X/..Y... Sequence valve
(Control oil circuits 4.1, 12 and 14 or 15 are open; control oil circuits 4.2 and 13 are blocked)
The function of this valve is in principle the same as that of the DZ...-.-L5X/..X... type. However, for the DZ...-.-L5X/..Y... type sequence valve, the leakage of the pilot spool (5) must be discharged to the tank via the oil line (14) or (15) without back pressure. The control oil flows into the oil port B via the oil line (12).
DZ..-.-L5X/..XY... type bypass valve (port B connected to oil tank)

The pressure at port X acts on the control piston (5) in the pilot valve (2) via the control oil line (4.2). At the same time, the pressure at port A acts on the spring-loaded side of the main valve core (7) via the orifice (6). When the pressure at port X exceeds the set value of the spring (8), the control piston (5) moves against the spring (8), and the oil can flow from the spring-loaded side of the main valve core (7) into the spring chamber (17) via the orifice (9) and the hole (16). The pressure value on the spring-loaded side of the main valve core (7) decreases, causing the main valve core (7) to rise. Therefore, the oil can flow from port A to port B with minimal pressure loss. The control oil in the spring chamber (17) should be discharged without pressure to the tank via the oil line (14) or (15). An optional non-return valve (3) can be installed to allow free return from port B to A.
