★Functional Description
TY-ZDR 10V pressure reducing valves are pilot operated valves of stacked construction.
They are used for pressure reduction in circuits.
The components of this type of valve include the insert (1) and the valve body (2). The pressure reduction is set by the regulating element (4).
"Type "VP
The valve is normally open in the static energy position. The oil can flow freely from port P2 to port P1, and the pressure at port P1 also acts on the end face of the main spool (6) and on the spring-loaded side of the main spool (6) through the throttle orifice (5). This pressure is also applied to the pilot poppet (8) through the throttle orifice (9).
When the pressure at port P2 reaches the setting value of the spring (7), the pilot poppet (8) opens. In turn, oil flows from the spring chamber (6) through the throttle hole (9), the pilot poppet (8) and the spring chamber (10) back to the tank. The spool (6) moves to the control position and maintains a constant pressure at port P1 set by the spring (7). The pilot control oil returns from the spring chamber (10) via port TA (Y).
"VA" and 'VB' types
In VA and VB type valves, ports A2 to B2 are depressurized. Optional check valves can be installed to allow free flow of oil from ports A2 to A1 or B2 to B1 (not possible for VP type). (This is not possible with the VP type.)
An optional pressure gauge connection (3) is available for secondary pressure monitoring.
