The ZDB and Z2DB valves are pilot-operated relief valves of stacked construction for limiting system pressure. They consist of a valve body (7) and one or two plug-in relief valves (4). The system pressure is set by the plug-in relief valves (4).
In the static position, the valve is closed, and the pressure at port A acts on the valve core (1). At the same time, the pressure acts on the spring side of the valve core (1) through the orifice (2) and acts on the pilot valve core (6) through the orifice (3). If the pressure at port A rises above the setting value of the spring (5), the valve core (6) overcomes the spring force and opens. The oil can flow into the inlet from the orifice (3) and the passage (8) on the spring-loaded side of the valve core (1). A pressure drop is then generated in the valve core (1), which causes the oil port A to T to communicate, so that the system pressure is maintained at the setting value of the spring (5), and the control oil is returned to the outside through the oil port from the two spring chambers.
